Church Partners

The task of helping many families in vulnerable life situations to be safer for their children is immense. Thankfully the Chicago area and Safe Families churches and volunteers have many dedicated partners who serve in both public and private agency capacities often addressing specific life vulnerabilities such as homelessness, child welfare, education, domestic violence, mental health, and many more.

We have 3 levels of participation with Safe Families. Participating Church - Inform and encourage your congregation members to volunteer with Safe Families. Lead Church - Recruit and support volunteers. This includes recruiting Family Coaches and sponsoring opportunities for Host Families to support each other. And Community Lead Church - Make your support system available to others in the community who do not attend a Safe Families Church.

Thanks to our Community Lead Churches that not only care for the host families in their church body but for host families in their area that are not in a Safe Family Church. Thanks to Avenue Christian Church - Clarendon Hills, Christ Community Church - All Campuses, Cityview Community Church - Elmhurst, Community Cup of the Nazarene - Kankakee, Ginger Creek - Aurora, Grace Presbyterian Church - Winnetka, Moody Church - Chicago, Park Community Church - Forest Glen, Peace of Christ Community Church - Westmont, South Park Church - Park Ridge, St. Peter Lutheran - Arlington Heights, The Orchard - Barrington, Wheaton Bible Church, Willow Creek South Barrington, and Willow Creek North Shore.
